Joanna Polek Borys, age 96, of Bel Air, MD, passed away on January 7, 2025. She was the beloved wife of the late Edward Stanislaus Borys; devoted mother of Nicolle Mary-Frances Borys; loving grandmother of Adria Borys Pirozzi, Darius Borys Pirozzi, Ianna Borys Pirozzi, Alita Borys Pirozzi, and the late Xavia Borys Pirozzi; dear sister of the late Frances Polek.
Family and friends are invited to gather at the Schimunek Funeral Home, 9705 Belair RD, Nottingham, MD 21236, on Monday, January 13, 2025, from 2-4 P.M. and 6-8 P.M. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, January 14, 2025, at 10:30 A.M., at St. Joseph Catholic Church (Fullerton). Interment will follow at Most Holy Redeemer Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in the late Xavia Borys Pirozzi’s name to The John Carroll School Scholarship Fund at www.johncarroll.org
