He is survived by his devoted wife Carole A. Bankard (nee Nagrabski); cherished daughter Allyse L. Bankard; his beloved furry friend Leo; dear siblings Alphonse C. Bankard III, Patricia Dick, Theresa Sharpe, Thomas Bankard, and the late Michael J. Bankard; and cherished nieces and nephews including Elizabeth M. Bankard (Sr. Mary Monica), Alphonse C. Bankard IV, Bernard G. Bankard, Charles C. Bankard, Paul J. Bankard, Rebecca A. Bankard, Joseph Dick Jr., Michele Campbell, Christopher T. Bankard, Veronica Y. Iniguez, Maria Cartwright, Bryan Cartwright, Brittany Largent, Brianna Cartwright, and Kevin Aspelmeier.

Viewings will be held for family and friends at the Schimunek Funeral Home, Inc., 9705 Belair Rd, Nottingham, MD 21236, on Sunday, March 6, 2022 and Monday, March 7, 2022 from 3-5PM and 7-9PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be on Tuesday, March 8, 2022 at St. Stephen Catholic Church, 8030 Bradshaw Rd, Kingsville, MD 21087 at 10AM. Interment will follow at Holly Hill Memorial Gardens.
