
Joseph Turnbull Adam, 81, of Parkville, Maryland passed away on August 17, 2020 at Oak Crest. He was born in Baltimore, Maryland to John M. and Virginia B. Adam and was a lifelong resident of the area. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother James E. Adam. Joe will be missed by his sisters Virginia A. Morris and Sally E. Fritsch; his nephew John T. Morris, his wife Grace, and daughter Sara; his niece Bethany V. Shipp, her husband Jim, and sons Jack, Griffin, and Tristan; and his niece Tracy Karabaich. He will also be missed by his cousins and their families, by Ralph Jerscheid who was like a grandson to him and his family, and his beloved dog George.
Joseph served in the U.S. Marine Corps after graduating from Towson High School, and then began a career with the USPS that lasted until his retirement. He played on a number of baseball teams with his friends, was active in several coin clubs, serving as President of the Middle River Coin Club for over twenty years, and enjoyed history. He loved animals and always had one, or two, or three dogs by his side. While he liked to keep life simple, he enjoyed a life well-lived with lifelong friends and many interests.
