Lori Papaeracleous

Lori Papaeracleous, age 66, of Baltimore, Maryland passed away on Tuesday, March 14, 2023 after a long battle with metastatic breast cancer. Beloved wife of Stavros Papaeracleous; devoted mother of Zoe, Natalie and Yianni Papaeracleous; dear sister of Tom, Kathleen, and Jack Prevas; loving daughter of Loretta Prevas Siotka and the late Peter Prevas. Lori is survived by a loving extended family and many friends.

Lori was born on July 23, 1956 in Queens, New York. When she was 10, Lori and her mother Loretta relocated to Baltimore. She had an extensive nursing career beginning in 1979 at Johns Hopkins Hospital. Lori adored being a wife to Stavros and mother to their 3 children. She had an adventurous nature with a great appreciation of traveling, especially to New York City and anywhere near the beach. Lori was a huge patron of the arts. She was a fan of numerous musical artists, especially in the disco and classic rock genres, in addition to theater, dance and art museums. Lori was a fun, fiery, free-spirited woman who was treasured by many people.

A visitation for Lori will be held at Schimunek Funeral Home, 9705 Belair Rd, Nottingham, MD 21236 on Thursday, March 16, 2023 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM. A Trisagion will be held at 7:30pm. Lori will lie-in-state at St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church on Friday, March 17, 2023 from 10:00 AM to 10:30 AM. The funeral service will begin at 10:30 AM followed by the interment in the adjoining Church Cemetery.
