Mary Jane Hightower

On August 19, 2018, Mary Jane Hightower (nee Letts), age 81, passed away peacefully at home. She was the beloved wife of the late John “Jack” L. Hightower; devoted mother of Jeffrey L. Hightower and his wife Jacqueline, John R. Hightower, Sr. and his wife Caroline, and the late Patricia L. Hightower; loving grandmother of Jordan Hightower Bearman and her husband Justin, and Alexandra, John “Jack”, Jr. and Jesse L. Hightower; cherished great-grandmother of Kye Bearman; dear sister of Laura May Thommen and her late husband Gene, John Letts and his wife Mary Ann, Albert Letts and his wife Elaine, and the late Nancy Toombs, and Vernon, Joseph, Harold, and Irene Letts. Mary is survived by many loving extended family members and friends.

Relatives and friends are invited to gather at Schimunek Funeral Home, Inc. 9705 Belair Rd., Nottingham, MD 21236, on Wednesday, August 22, 2018 from 3-5pm and 7-9pm. A funeral mass will be held at St. Isaac Jogues Catholic Church (Parkville, MD) on Thursday at 10am. Interment services will follow at Parkwood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Mary’s name to the Make a Wish Foundation, 9475 Deereco Rd., Ste. 306, Timonium, MD 21093.
