

On December 31, 2024, Mary Constance (Meade) Robeson went to be with her Lord. Mary passed peacefully at her home. Mary was born in Mount Savage, Maryland, February 18, 1939, the daughter of the late Walter and Alice (Farrell) Meade. Mary attended Catholic Girls Central High School.
Following her graduation she moved to Baltimore, MD with her husband, where they raised their four children together. Mary worked for a meat packing plant and the local newspaper, the Observer before she worked for RAIL Company. She started out as the front desk receptionist and worked her way up to become the HR Director. After retiring she helped care for her grandchildren and volunteered as a librarian assistant at Shady Spring Elementary for 5 years. Mary was also active with St. Joseph Catholic Church volunteering wherever they needed help. She served as treasurer for the Knights of Columbus ladies’ auxiliary.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years – Donald Ellis Robeson. She is survived by her four (4) children, Donald Jr. and wife Cathy, Holly Springs, NC, Walter and wife Patricia, Locust Grove, VA, Vincent and wife Loretta, Yorktown, VA, Joy Campbell and late husband David, Baltimore, MD; eight (8) grandchildren, Brian and wife Beatrice, Matthew and wife Elise, Nolan Robeson, Dana Howington and husband Cory, Jordan and wife Taylor, Jessa Toth and husband Joe, Patrick Campbell, and Michael Campbell; eleven (11) great-grandchildren, Rosie, Henry, Owen, Milo, Leif, Weston, Haley, Levi, Luca, Gabriel, and Avery. She was preceded in death by sisters Jane Neal, Joan Loar and brother Daniel Meade and survived by sisters Carol Lee and Janet Ross.
Relatives and friends are invited to gather at Schimunek Funeral Home, 9705 Belair Road, Nottingham, MD 21236 on Saturday, January 25, 2025, from 9:30 am to noon with a Celebration of Life Service at noon. Interment to follow at St. Joseph Catholic Church Fullerton cemetery, 8420 Belair Road at 1:30 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Mary’s name to Stella Maris Hospice, 2300 Dulaney Valley Road, Timonium, MD 21093.
