Rene Mondesir

Rene was married 68 years to his beloved Marie-Therese Mondesir.

He was the devoted father of René Mondesir, Jr. and his wife Elizabeth; of Carine Mondesir; and of Alix Mondesir and his wife Carrol.

He was the loving grandfather of six -- Kara, Stacey, Mikhail, Richard, Eric, and Chloe.

He was the cherished great-grandfather of four -- R.J., Gabrielle, Zara, and Enzo.

René was preceded in death by his parents, three sisters and a brother who served as a Roman catholic priest (who officiated at his wedding and baptized his firstborn).

In Haiti, he earned his baccalaureate degree and trained to become a «Notaire», a profession specializing in real estate and accounting transactions in French-based countries. Most of his professional life, Rene worked as an accountant for Citibank in New York, for decades until his retirement.

A visitation for René will be held Saturday, June 24, 2023, from 12:00 PM to 12:30 PM at Schimunek Funeral Home, 9705 Belair Rd, Nottingham, MD 21236.

Then a Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, June 24, 2023 at 1:00 PM at St. Joseph Church, 8420 Belair Road, Nottingham, MD 21236.

Entombment will follow at 2:30 PM at Holly Hill Memorial Gardens, 10201 Bird River Road, Baltimore, MD 21220.
