Romana “Mani” Ellen Flower (nee: Byrnes) passed peacefully on December 18th, 2020 at the age of 81. Mani was born September 26th, 1939 in Baltimore, Maryland to Marian L. Byrnes (nee: Geiselman) and John C. Byrnes. As a young woman, Mani worked for Ramsay Scarlett & Co. in Baltimore before meeting the love of her life, George Flower, Jr., who served in the Army. Mani and George married on February 10th, 1962 and settled in Perry Hall, Maryland where they raised two sons, George III and Larry, and a daughter, Courtney. Mani had an entrepreneurial spirit and worked for herself much of her life. She began with a small home interior business and eventually branched out successfully running her own wicker and rattan furniture company. Mani and George were very involved in little league, basketball, football, and softball games with their kids. Cookouts and pool parties with extended family and friends were an important part of traditions. She loved her nieces and nephews and spending time with her entire family. They meant everything to her. When her two grandchildren arrived, Lindsay and George, Mani’s heart almost burst with the love she had for them. She eventually closed her furniture business and enjoyed working as a travel agent for AAA for 20 years. Mani was able to enjoy the fruits of her retirement. She was the most generous woman with her love and gifts. Mani is survived by her two sons George Flower III and John “Larry” Flower, and her daughter Courtney Mullaney; her two daughters-in-law Barbara and Jan Flower; her son-in-law George Mullaney Jr.; grandchildren Lindsay Flower and George Flower IV; her sister Donna Hollywood and her brother John C. Byrnes, Jr.
Mani was preceded in death by her husband, George Flower, Jr.
