On January 22, 2018, Samuel Bates passed away. He was the dear brother of Mary Bates-Cross, Esther Williams and her husband Robert Williams, the late Emily Koulepis, and the late Emanuel Bates; loving uncle to many nieces and nephews, including Patricia Zentz, James Koulepis, Ginger White, Sharon Chinn, Robert Williams, Mary Lisa Williams-Harden, and the late Steve Bates.
Relatives and friends may gather at St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church 520 Ponca St., Baltimore, MD 21224, on Friday January 26, 2018, from 10-10:30 am where a funeral service will be held at 10:30 am. Interment to follow at the Greek Orthodox Cemetery 5917 Windsor Mill Rd., Baltimore, MD 21207. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church or the Glioblastoma Foundation at glioblastomafoundation.org.
