Sophie Eileen Luberecki Marchetti

On April 19, 2013 Sophie Eileen Marchetti (nee Luberecki) peacefully passed away at Copper Ridge. She was 87 years old. She was born on April 1, 1926 to Sophie and Francis Jacob Luberecki. On January 31, 1948 at St. Stephen’s church in Shamokin, PA, she was married to the love of her life Vincent A. Marchetti. She spent most of her years as a homemaker taking care of her family and raising her three children. She loved to bake, sew and most of all to dance. She was honored as a volunteer for the VA Medical System.

She was the beloved wife of the late Vincent A. Marchetti; devoted mother of Ralph V. Marchetti, Dr. Gregory F. Marchetti and his wife Mary, and Audrey E. Novak; loving mother-in-law of Robert L. Novak; loving grandmother of Vincent Novak and his wife Amy, Anna Slowikowski and her husband Mark, and Rachel Novak, and three great-grandchildren; dear sister of Edward Luberecki, and Joan Bolick and her husband Bernard; loving sister-in-law of Frances Luberecki.

Relatives and friends are invited to visit at Miller-Dippel Funeral Home Inc. on Wednesday 2-4 and 6-8 PM. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday at 10 AM) at St. Joseph Catholic Community (Eldersburg, MD). Interment on Monday, April 29, 2013 at 10AM at Garrison Forest Veteran Cemetery.
