

We are deeply saddened to share that Vivien Tiu Aligada passed away on February 24, 2026. She was a beloved wife, devoted mother, loving grandmother, and loyal friend. Vivien spent her career as a dedicated critical care nurse, earning the respect of everyone she worked with. Her kindness and caring nature touched many lives, and her coworkers will miss her greatly.
Vivien’s compassion, strength, and generosity shone brightly in every aspect of her life. She was always ready with a helping hand or a soothing word, making everyone around her feel truly seen and valued. Her legacy is woven from the countless lives she uplifted, both through her skilled nursing and her heartfelt concern for the well-being of those she served and worked alongside.
Vivien is survived by her beloved husband, Jose Aligada Jr.; her only son, Cecil Jose Aligada; her daughter-in-law, Immanuellin; and her precious granddaughter, Adriana Emily, whom she adored deeply. She also leaves behind her dear siblings, Edwin Tiu, Lilian Tiu Wingo, and Sheila Tiu Doong, and Sheila’s husband, Ricardo Doong. Vivien’s love extended to her nephews, Junno and Elkar, and her niece, Sherika and her husband Darius, as well as Sherika’s son, Theodor.
Vivien’s memory will be treasured by her extended family and the many friends whose lives she brightened with her compassion, grace, and generous spirit. She had a gift for bringing light into every room, and her legacy of love and kindness will continue to inspire all who were fortunate
enough to know her. Though she will be deeply missed, Vivien’s memory will live on in the hearts of her family, friends, and all whose lives she touched.
Vivien’s family extends their heartfelt gratitude to everyone who offered support, comfort, and friendship throughout her life. Her spirit endures in the many lives she touched, and her legacy of kindness and service will continue to inspire.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Schimunek Funeral Home, Inc., 9705 Belair Rd, Nottingham, MD 21236, US, on March 7, 2026, at 10:00 am. Visitation will follow from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm.
