Dear Dad,
Our first Christmas apart will happen in just a couple of days. I put up the Village and all of my special ornaments on the tree. Tears fell and pain seared my heart thinking that you wouldn’t get to see it.  I know you’ve realized all of the things you’ve gained in Heaven. I know your body doesn’t hurt anymore. I just miss you so much! Until we meet again, I’ll hold you close in my heart. Love you,

Your dad meant a lot to me, Kim. I loved the old guy!  Had so much fun on our fishing trips to Johnson's Pond. I'll never forget our Kings Dominion adventure back in the early 70s. I was just a little kid then, but I still remember everybody packed in his big gold caddy. Thanks for sharing all the pics, they're great. It was so nice seeing my dad in a couple, too. Last time I saw your dad was at my dad's funeral almost 25 years ago already. I really needed a friend after my dad passed. I was hoping to reconnect with your dad, and get through the tough times. Sadly, he never reached back out to me after that. I made several attempts to contact him over the years, but never heard anything. That truly broke and still breaks my heart now. I only wanted him to know I loved him!

So sorry I could not be there, but Ollie knows my heart is with him &  we will laugh & reminisce again one day.  God bless you all that I remember & also to those who came later. To this side of the family I was (am) known as 'Mary Jean' now 'MJ'.  Thank you all for the pics.  I have sat here with happy/sad tears running down my face remembering many of the times pictured. He was my 'BIG Brother' when I was growing up & w/Uncle Oliver, Aunt Edith, Sis & Albert. They were the wonderful home that I so enjoyed coming to & staying so long that I never wanted to go home. Laughter, football, Holidays, CRABS....were all so special to me. Later, we'd call each other & talk about now & the past... Now I kick my butt cause when I sent this year's Christmas card, I didn't call him then. I love you Ollie & at least you know cause we always told each other. I will always miss you, but know now that you are in a special place & back with that wonderful family that we both knew so long ago. Dear  Sue  and  family..I  am  so  sad  to hear of Ollie's  passing..For sure..he has always been one  of  the really good  guys.He and  youe Sue..have devoted  so much of  your  time..to our favorite sport of  bowling..I  appreciate that so much.Just keep remebering better  days  and Thank God Ollie is now  free from pain and in the arms of Our Lord..I can't  make it to the services..but my prayers  are with  you. Most sincere compassion as well.  I will make a donation in his name  to Cancer..My love and prayers...Joan

Ollie you will always be remembered for your and Sue's creation of the Ladies Professional Duckpin Tour (LPDT) in the 1970s.  It provided an opportunity for women from Virginia to Massachusetts to compete against the best female bowlers on the east coast, usually with more than 100 participants per tour.   More importantly, many of us established friendships with these women that still exist today.  The tour is still in existence now under the name Womens National Duckpin Association.

Anna and I (Ken's brother) are saddened to hear of Mr. Ollie's passing and wish to extend our profound condolences to you. He is in a much better place now free of the shackles that this life imposed upon him.

I remember this photo. It was a few months after me and Steven started dating. It was your birthday and I was messing with Snapchat filters on your birthday. This one was hilarious. You didn’t know why I was laughing until I showed you and you said “oh good grief Sarah” and we both laughed. 

Dad,
I can’t believe your gone. I wish I had just one more day so I could have seen you..one more phone call just to say I love you. I will cherish the last few calls we had. You kept telling me you were ready to go and didn’t know why you were still here….I do,  it was to give us one more conversation..one more I love you and one more thank you. Granddad. There are no words to describe how much it hurts to see you leave this world but I know it’s not good bye forever. I will see you again some day. I want to thank you for all you’ve done for not just for me but for all of us. You gave me courage to be who I wanna be and do what I want to do and I’ll never forget that. Now you can what you always told me want to do. Be with my mom and watch footballs games all you want. Be with your mom, your sister and brother again. I love you granddad. Forever. 

Uncle Ollie,I really wish I could have made it to see you one last time.I know you understand. For the past several days,I have spent a good amount of time thinking about the hours we would talk on the phone,following Granny & my Mom's death. Almost every conversation got deep and emotional where we both always ended up crying, not by sadness but because we both could really just let go and say what was in our hearts.You were one of the very few that listened to me during that time. So many wonderful memories I will keep in my heart.The first thought I had when I learned of your passing was that your 1st family circle was complete again!I can only imagine you being welcomed home by Granddad, Granny, my Mom & Uncle Al, & Pam. How beautiful it had to be. Until we meet again...I love you....Sherry
