Joyce Ann Lasa

Joyce Lasa, a beloved wife, mother, sister, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on September 19, 2024, just one month shy of her 79th birthday. Born on October 19, 1945, in Santa Rosa, CA, Joyce lived a life filled with hard work, adventure, love, and unwavering devotion to her family.

She was the dedicated wife of the late Florencio Lasa, with whom she shared a lifetime of unshakable partnership until his passing in 2004. Together, they built a beautiful family, and Joyce took great joy in being a loving mother to her son, Martin Lasa (wife Tasha), and daughter, Elisa Ross (husband Geoffrey). Her greatest pride and happiness came from her three grandchildren—Everett Ross, Georgia Ross, and Florencia Lasa—who will forever cherish her warmth, wisdom, and affection.

Joyce is also survived by her sisters, Gloria Gilham and Joan Cox, along with many cherished nieces, nephews, and friends who were touched by her kindness and generosity. She will be remembered for her loving spirit, her dedication to family, and the countless ways she made life brighter for those around her.

A celebration of Joyce’s life will be held at Valley Memorial Cemetery on March 8, at 11:00am. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that donations be made in her honor to an animal shelter or rescue agency of your choice.

Joyce’s adventurous spirit and laughter will live on in the hearts of all who knew her. Rather than mourning her passing, let us celebrate a life well lived, filled with love, family, and cherished memories.
