

Peter was born in Perth Amboy, NJ. He graduated from “PMC” Pennsylvania Military Academy with a BS and a Masters of Transportation from the University of Florida.
He joined the Army Transportation Corps and served most of his 25 years overseas, including Germany, Turkey and S.H.A.P.E. Supreme Headquarters Allied Power Europe.
Peter is a Vietnam War veteran. He retired as a LTC and worked for 7 years as the Deputy Director of Emergency Services in Marin County and the last 16 years as General Manager for Nave Self Storage and Companies.
His passion was horseback riding in Montana. He believed in integrity, honor, loyalty, commitment, country and duty. His love and pride were his sons Sean and Bryan. His major soft spots were his grandchildren Summer, Skye, Eli and Alena. He is survived by his wife Gisela, son Sean and his wife Jill, grandchildren Summer and Skye residing in Novato. Son Bryan and his wife Olivia, grandchildren Eli and Alena residing in Buchrain, Switzerland.
A service to celebrate the life of Peter Lake will be held on October 13th at 11:00am at Keaton’s Redwood Chapel of Marin, 1801 Novato Blvd., Novato, CA 94947.
