

On September 24th, Richard Freeman, aged 74, of Novato CA passed away from an aortic aneurysm. Richard leaves his wife/partner of 32 years, Kathleen Erickson-Freeman, his 99 year old mother Virginia Micheli Freeman, sisters-in-law Carolyn and Susan Erickson, former brother-in-law and friend Keith Coppock, his beloved nieces and nephews Christine (Jerry) Molinaro, John (Leslie) Coppock, Karen (Brian Schmidt) Coppock, Megan (Dave) Gosch, Corinne & Lyle Daniel and five grand nephews. Predeceased by father Raymond Freeman Sr., brother Raymond Freeman, Jr. and sister-in-law Mary Lou Freeman. With a glass of red wine and plate of pasta, Richard was a bon vivant with cherished family and treasured long term friends. His hobbies included WWII history, current events, the 49ers, politics and tending home and garden. He loved his English Springer Spaniels: Foster, Molly, James and Travis; especially walking with them around Sea Ranch where he felt most at peace. He will be remembered as a kind, gentle and devoted husband, son, brother and uncle. Before retirement, Richard owned and operated Videx in San Francisco for over thirty years with his business partner Craig Mercer.A celebration of his life will be held on Saturday, October 24th at 11:00 am at Keaton’s Mortuary, 1022 E Street, San Rafael, CA.
