Richard Johnson was a man of quiet strength, steady devotion, and deep family roots. An Army veteran and businessman, he carried the values of service, discipline, and loyalty throughout his life. Those who knew him will remember a man who showed love through presence — reliable, humble, and always there when he was needed.

Family was the center of Rich’s world. He cherished the simple joys that became the heart of his family’s memories. Among his favorites were the yearly camping trips to Hayward, Wisconsin, where generations gathered, laughed, and built traditions that will outlive all of them. Those trips became a thread running through his life — a reminder of what mattered most to him: family, time together, and the comfort of familiar places. He was also an avid fan of the Green Bay Packers and Milwaukee Brewers.

He was the proud father of three children: Scott (Mary) Johnson, who survives him; Steve Johnson and Carla Johnson Rayburn who preceded him in death, Carla is survived by her spouse, Buddy Rayburn. Rich’s love for his children extended naturally into the next generations. He was a grandfather to Jackie Kasal, Marty Johnson, and Jenna Rayburn; a great‑grandfather to Tasha, Jonathan, Teagan, and Jesse and a great‑great‑grandfather to little Octavuis. Each of them carries a piece of his legacy — his kindness and his quiet pride.

Richard was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Judy Johnson, with whom he built a life grounded in love, loyalty, hard work, and family. He held her memory close, just as he did the memories of Steve and Carla. Later in life, he found companionship again with his second wife, Mary, with whom he shared warmth, comfort, and the simple joys of everyday life.

Throughout his life, Rich valued what was real and lasting — his family. He didn’t seek attention or praise. Instead, he offered stability and wisdom that made others feel safe. His legacy is not found in grand gestures but in the countless small ones — the kind that shape a family for generations.

He will be deeply missed and remembered with gratitude by all who loved him.
