

Jacqueline Nora Spencer born on January 04, 1934 in Cordova, Alaska to Iris and Michael Shepard, passed away on June 08, 2015. Her interests included Major League Baseball teams the Los Angeles, Dodgers in the 60’s along with the current Seattle, Mariners. Other hobbies included baking specialty pasties, cookies, cake, pies and her amazing walnut chocolate fudge. She was also gifted with the ability to draw house plans per specs and landscaping. She had a vision for fashion and interior design which she taught her grown children. Her personal style was impeccable from head to toe and she wasn’t afraid to show off her hourglass figure with a walk that would turn heads. She was also a member of the American Legion where she enjoyed rolling the dice, along with playing Bingo at the Elks Club. She enjoyed summers spent at the beach, playing cribbage and most of all, spending time with her loved ones. Her love for movies included Gone with the Wind, The Thorne birds and anything starring Elizabeth Taylor. She was a collector of fine figurines, antique glassware and art. Music was a love of hers as she was an excellent dancer to her some of her favorite music artists including Hank Thompson, Chubby Checker and Elvis Presley…whom she had the pleasure to have met. She had a wonderful sense of humor, quick wit and a gift to communicate on any topic at hand. A Persian cat lover at heart whom she shared her love with included Tinker, Shada, and Scarlet O’hara.
Jacqueline is survived by her children; Phillip Chris Olander, Alyssa Christine Crawford, Sheridan Francesca Beaulieu and Melissa Renee Chezick, her grandchildren; Adon Olander, Shelby Crawford, Kylie Crawford, Tan Cooper, Jarrett Cooper, Tyler Chezick and Parker Chezick, her great grandchildren; Peyton, Reagan and a younger grandson to ( Adon Olander), Riley, Rian, Kailyn and Jake, her Sister; Joyce Eckert and her many beloved nephews and nieces Brett, Mindy, Kevin and Aaron and Pat Green, Dawn Ellen and Brenda.
Jacqueline was preceded in death by her grandparents Oscar and Helen Bergman, parents Harold and Iris Spencer, her father Michael Shepard, her sister Joan Green, her brother Harold Allen, niece Kathy Shope and nephew Bobby.
Our memories of our Beloved Mother, Sister, Aunt, Grandmother, Great grandmother and friend will be treasured in our hearts into eternity. We love you and miss you… ~your loving family~
Jacqueline will be laid to rest at Maple Leaf Cemetery on Thursday, June 25th at 10:00am in Oak Harbor, Washington. Cards may be mailed to 1265 NE O'Leary St., Oak Harbor, WA 98277.
