

Florence was born on August 3, 1933, in Chicago, IL, to Elmer and Florence (Martin) Emery, and grew up in Chicago. She graduated from Englewood H.S. She started her working career at Silvercup in the payroll department, moved on to Jewel Tea Co., Raske's 5&10, and ended her career as a teller at Loomis Savings & Loan. She married Joseph Tringl on November 28, 1953, and they shared almost thirty-five years of married live together before he passed in October of 1988. They raised four children - Deborah (David) McMillen, Wayne Joseph (Cheri) (deceased), James Robert (Mary Lou) (both deceased), and John Edward (Diane), and enjoyed participating in all of their various activities. Florence is remembered for her kind and loving demeanor. She enjoyed reading and doing word puzzles. Above all, she cherished her time with family and friends.
Florence is survived by her children (Deborah and John), six grandchildren (Jessica, Melissa, Jennifer, John, Joshua, and Justin), four great-grandchildren (Nicholas, Lillian, Mason, and Kade), brother Kenneth (Barbara) Emery, and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents (Elmer and Florence), husband (Joseph), sons Wayne and James, and grandson Joseph.
A visitation will be held at Chapel Hill Gardens South Funeral Home, located at 11333 South Central Ave, Oak Lawn, IL 60453, on January 28, 2026, from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm.
A burial will follow at Chapel Hill Gardens South Funeral Home & Cemetery, at the same address, from 2:00 pm to 2:30 pm.
