Dear Carl and the entire Renn family, Please accept our most sincere condolences regarding the passing of your father. Although we did not know him personally, we can see what type of wonderful man he was through his children.

I am honored and blessed to have known and worked for Joseph Renn for the last 18 years.  He was loved by all of us and he will be cherished in our memories forever. 

My deepest condolences to Dorothy and the entire Renn family.

As soon-to-be neighbors of the Renns on Edgewater, we are sorry for the Renn family's loss. While we have never had the opportunity to meet Joe, we understand from others that he was a good, wonderful, and generous man; a fine husband, dad, grandpa , business man and community leader. We wish we had known him. Our sympathies to Dorothy Renn and to all of the extended family.

As an employee of Lisle Savings Bank for 30 years I will always remember Mr. Renn making his "rounds" every day to visit with the employees.  He will be missed.

I feel so blessed to have known and worked for Mr. Renn for 28 years. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather as well as a father-figure to all of his employees.  Lisle Savings, its employees, and the community benefited from his wise leadership and his amazing generosity.. He had a great sense of humor and was a good listener and problem solver. I was especially struck by what a voracious reader he was--multiple newspapers and business publications on a daily basis which he passed on to employees because he believed in education. We all respected and admired him so much. He will be missed.

Mr. Renn,

You gave me a chance to do appraisal work for Lisle Savings Bank 45 years ago.  Your support started my business, which grew until my recent retirement.  My family and, I will always remember your support and loyalty.

Mr. Renn, you have been a light to this world. Your kindness, generosity, and sense of humor made everyone smile ....I know you are with all the angels in Heaven now.....you will always have a special place in my heart.

Mr. Renn, You were a pillar in the community and have touched some many lives.  The financial world has lost a most generous and caring friend.  Condolences to the entire Renn family & Lisle Savings Bank.

I already posted once.
Since then I have as an employee Of Lisle Savings Bank, talked to so many people who are just learning about Joseph Renn's passing.
Any one that talked to me only had great praise for Mr, Renn.
They shared their stories.  They shared their sadness.  They shared their high respect for Joseph J. Renn.  He was like a father parent to me and Mrs. Renn has always been like a mother to me.
I share this with the public because it is All Saint's Day, and the timing is very appropriate.

We will always remember the generosity and kindness of this remarkable man. While our family will miss Uncle Joe,the fond memories of good times spent together will linger on in our hearts forever.

Uncle Joe, you were a man of great accomplishment, generosity, and love.  We'll keep you close in our memories.
