Linda Sarate

Linda Sarate, 67, of La Villita, Chicago, Illinois, passed away peacefully on February 3, 2025. She leaves to cherish her loving memory, her children Ana (Francisco) Herrera, Joann and Lorenzo Infante; her life partner Omar Infante; her grandchildren Analee, Alyssa, Brandon, Stephanie and Alexia; her siblings Maria (Jose) Zavala, Mark, Rosendo, Susana (Anthony) Zajac and the late Rosemary (Juan) Dominguez , Juan and Richard. She also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Linda was a beacon of strength and generosity in the Little Village community, embodying the essence of leadership and compassion. Known for her unwavering commitment to service, she actively contributed to the Little Village Community Development Corporation, Jorge Prieto Health Center, and the Little Village High School Development Committee. Her dedication to uplifting others was further highlighted by her involvement in the AmeriCorps program, where she earned an award for her service. With a heart full of love, Linda inspired many, leaving an indelible mark on everyone she touched.

An evening visitation will take place on Friday, February 7, 2025 from 4-8pm located at Chapel Hill Gardens South Funeral Home. A funeral mass will take place on Saturday, February 8, 2025 at 9am located at St. Agnes of Bohemia Catholic Church, 2651 S Central Park Ave, Chicago, IL 60623. All services will conclude at the church.
