Ronald J. Gajewski

Ronald Gajewski, age 77, of Alsip, Illinois passed away on Friday, October 11, 2024 leaving behind a legacy of love and service. Born on March 9, 1947, in Chicago, Ronald graduated from St. Mel High School and went on to earn a Bachelor’s Degree from Roosevelt University.

Ronald enjoyed a successful career in accounting with Best Foods/Unilever and was a proud United States Army Veteran, dedicated to serving his country.

Ronald is survived by his loving wife of 35 years, Patricia Gajewski, and his cherished children: Ronald II, Michelle (Jim) Olson, Kristy (Brandon) Mixon, Scott (Amaris) Gajewski, and Donna Lahey. He was a beloved grandfather to Laila, Cash, Isabella, Sophia, Piper, and Seth, who brought immense joy to his life, and was cherished by many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Dorothy and Felix Gajewski, his brother Donald Gajewski, and his beloved grandchildren, James Arthur Olson Jr. and Andrea Faith Olson, and son-in-law Tim McConnell.

Family and friends are invited to pay their respects on Monday, October 21st, 2024, from 4:00pm to 8:00pm at Chapel Hill Gardens South Funeral Home, 11333 Central Avenue, Oak Lawn, Illinois. A funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, October 22nd, 2024, at 11:00am at St. Terrence Church, 4300 W. 119th Place, Alsip, IL. Ronald will be laid to rest with military honors at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery at 1:30pm.

Ronald will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
