Bernice is survived by her children, Debbie (Tom) Broz, Scott (Michelle) Leighton, and Tammy Leighton; grandchildren, Eric (Michelle) Broz, and Jason (Mindy Harpenau) Broz; great-grandchildren, Austin and Luella Broz; and sisters, Grace, Violet, Ruth, and Margie. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clifford "Everett" Leighton; her parents; her grandson, Nathan Broz; and her brothers, Bud, Rudy, and Curt.
A visitation will be held on Friday, March 25, 2022 at Chapel Hill Gardens West Funeral Home, 17W201 Roosevelt Road, Oakbrook Terrace, from 4-8pm, with a funeral service being held at 5pm.
