Altamero, George L., was born February 22, 1924 in Tuguegarao, Cagayan, Philippines and passed away November 27, 2012 in Carrollton, Texas. He is preceded in death by Emerita, his devoted wife of 59 years. He was a loving father of George (Elma), Gerry (Anna), Geralyn (David) Obar, and Geanine (Rick) Altamero; proud grandfather of 11; dear brother of Esther, Ruth, Tomasa, Jose, Evangeline, and Tomas; fond uncle of many. George was a veteran of WWII, served in the U.S. Navy for 20 years and was an auto mechanic. Visitation Wednesday, 9-11 am, where services will take place at 11 am at First United Methodist Church, 40 N. Lincoln St., Westmont, IL. Interment at Fairmount Willow Hills Memorial Park.
