Marciana J. "Ann" Bunce

Marciana “Ann” J. Bunce, 74, of Palatine, passed away peacefully on March 13, 2016. Beloved wife of 40 years to Kenneth; Dear sister of Remedios Javierto; Cherished aunt to three generations of nieces and nephews.

Ann was preceded in death by her parents, Melanio and Aurelia Javierto, as well as her siblings, Melanio Jr., Modesto, Lourdes Dimacali, Rafael, Ricardo, and Socorro Padao.

Ann was born on June 10, 1941, in the Philippines. She received her Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Far Eastern University in Manila, Philippines. Ann left law school in 1967 and migrated to the U.S. She later attended DePaul University in Chicago, where she received her Master’s Degree in Business Administration.

Ann was married on January 10, 1976. She worked at Arthur Rubloff Development Corporation for a number of years as treasurer and comptroller. In 2014, Ann retired from the Village of Hanover Park as Senior Accountant. Ann was a Certified Public Accountant in the United States in addition to being a Chartered Public Accountant in the Philippines.

A visitation will be held at Chapel Hill Gardens West Funeral Home, 17w201 Roosevelt Road, Oakbrook Terrace, on Saturday, March 19th, from 9-11 AM. A service will follow, also at the funeral home. Interment at Chapel Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Thomas of Villanova School, 1141 E. Anderson Drive, Palatine.
