To the Murphy Family, I just learned of the sad news and wanted to express my most heartfelt sympathy.  After hearing the news I pulled out some old photo albums to visit fond memories made with the Murphy family and said a little prayer for all of you.

Mr Murphy, Ms Murphy, Matt and Tim, I am so sad by this news about Meghan! She was my 1st friend at Dry Creek in kindergarten and I have so many memories with her. God bless you all and hugs to each of you!!

I met Meghan several years ago when she was looking for someone to care for her kitties when she went away.  Normally, the visits to gather all the information about feeding the kitties, takes about 15 minutes.  However, with Meghan, I ended up staying over an hour.  I so thoroughly enjoyed talking with her.  I commented on her adorable haircut - not knowing she had just completed chemo.  She shared with me what she had gone through with the chemo.  I was shocked - not only did she look fantastic, her attitude was incredibly upbeat and positive. We cared for her kitties and then just Cairo, over the years, and I always kept in touch with her to see how she was doing.  Again, always positive and upbeat about her health and life.  I told her, when I prayed at night, she was always in my prayers.  I hadn't heard from Meghan in a while so I called her cell phone last week.  It was no longer in service.  My heart sank, hoping I was wrong about my suspicion. I looked online, and my gut feeling was confirmed.  It is and was devastating.  I have never met anyone like Meghan and although we weren't necessarily friends, she made such an impression upon me, I didn't want to lose that connection with her.  
I am so very sorry for your loss and the loss of a spectacular human being.

I am truly saddened by your loss.  My daughter used to go running to the door to let Meghan in for her speech therapy, and she used to hug her on the way out.  I, too, used to look forward to seeing Meghan and enjoying the few minutes we got to spend together as adults at the end of Katie's session.  She was always positive and smiling and thoughtful.  I will always think of her with a smile.

I just pulled out my USC yearbook and found a whole page filled with Meghan's handwriting.  She wrote me a wonderful note that brought tears to my eyes.

My memories of her in high school are that she was caring and friendly with a wonderful sense of humor.  

I am so sad to hear of her loss.  She is a person you do not forget.  The world should have more people like her.
