Rory Dean Brainard

Rory was born on November 6th 1997 to Kelly and Dean Brainard in Miles City, MT. He completed the family making them a family of four. Older sister Caitlin, knew then she had received the greatest gift; a brother. Their bond and friendship has been so special.

After graduating from Colstrip High School in 2016, Rory attended Perry Technical Institute graduating with an instrumentation degree. After graduation Rory relocated to Chicago to work at MDK Electric. While working as an instrument technician he was also working on an electrical apprenticeship.

Growing up Rory enjoyed traveling with his family. He could always be found in the water whether it was a pool, river bed, lake, or beach. Camping trips to the mountains are memories he held close. Rory found happiness in music, movies, long boarding, and spending time with family and friends. He was also a lover of all animals, especially his 13 year old childhood dog Rhino. Anyone who knew Rory, knew that they would always be met with his sarcastic wit, smile, dark humor, and a giant hug. He challenged your thoughts, was a voice for those who needed it and brought so much light to any room. Rory will be missed beyond measure and the pain of his loss will be felt by many.

Rory is survived by his parents, sister Caitlin & brother in law Allan Peterson, grandfather Harry Brainard, uncles Mike Cavanaugh, John (Maria) Cavanaugh, Tom( Leona) Cavanaugh, Aunts Ginger Cavanaugh, Pat James & Ann Lynn Cavanaugh, his cousins, his Finnish family, his adored Godchild Ailla Mae, & friends new and old. Rory was never short on showing you his love, please hold onto that.
