Valdimar Treviño, a proud Army veteran, was called peacefully into eternal life on May 13, 2024, at the age of 79. A man of few words, but with a heart that overflowed with love, gratitude, kindness, and compassion for others.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Florencia (nee Almendarez), 4 children, 10 grandchildren, 2 step-grandchildren, and 1 great-grandchild. A cherished father to Omar (MaryAnn) Treviño, Noel (Darlene) Treviño, Priscilla Treviño (Kevin Poremski) and Melinda (Michael) Cinquegrani. The most loved Welo of Alex, Miranda (Jorge) Resendiz, Marissa, Mikayla, Andrew, Natalie, Abigail, Joshua, Giulia, Santo, Aria...ARRR-I-A...ARRR-I-A , Joey and Antonio.
Valdimar went by many names / titles throughout his life. Fondly known as Val, Valde, Cuñao, Compadre, and "my favorite Tio" to many...however, nothing was more loved or cherished by him than the title of Welo (and maybe his passion for the Dallas Cowboys and the unwavering devotion to the Chicago White Sox).
He was the most giving, kind, and gentle man that would give the shirt off his back to anyone who needed it. He led a life that wasn't full of material riches, but rich in love, family, and faith...and cherished every moment spent with his friends and loved ones.
We welcome all who knew him to join us in celebrating the life of a man who loved deeply and will be deeply missed.
