“All Love, All Ways”
Brian J. Callerame was one-of-a-kind, “the most interesting man in the world!” A beautiful vibrant soul, Brian continued his journey beyond this world on March 16, 2026 at the age of 55. Brian will always be remembered for his quick wit, easy laugh, and ability to draw people in. His fearless, fun-seeking nature led to unforgettable games and adventures, filled with love and laughter.
Born in Rochester, NY, to MaryLou and Joseph Callerame on January 2, 1971, Brian was one of 6 siblings. He graduated from Lake Havasu High School in 1989, and UNLV in 1999 with a major in Anthropology, officially beginning a lifetime of studying people. There Brian met the love of his life, Paula H. Paula brought the unconditional love that allowed Brian to unlock his heart to the world. They completed and magnified each other’s charismatic fun-loving style. Brian was a loving and loyal husband, soulmate, and best friend to Paula for over 30 years. They were inseparable.
Brian was multi-talented, amazingly creative, and had many remarkable and varied experiences. You could just as easily find him tending his flock of chickens, shouting “Bingo” in a room full of seniors just for the jump scare, or sneaking in to pose with the Vince Lombardi trophy with his brothers. Brian worked on a cruise ship, taught scuba diving, opened a business, created and sold his own magic tricks, ran in triathlons and even finished an Ironman competition. Brian and Paula spent 10 years traveling the country in the happy-faced Spam Mobile as “Spam-bassadors”, and visited nearly every National Park in the United States. They traveled all around the globe and throughout their travels, Brian’s outgoing personality made it possible for them to meet interesting and famous people in all walks of life. He spent his last 15 years helping seniors find purpose and community in the senior living industry, which he was very proud of.
Brian had a song in his heart for every occasion. A prolific storyteller, the fish always got bigger, and Brian’s audiences loved it, from his smallest nephew to the “greatest generation”. He loved the art of haggle and never left a good deal on the table. Brian knew a little about everything – he was a life-long learner. He was always looking for a new recipe, a new investment, a new fishing hole, a new game, a new hobby – there was always new fun to be had somewhere and somehow. He enjoyed the outdoors, travel, cooking, music, hiking, fishing, and the arts.
Brian’s life passion was getting together with family and creating memorable moments to be treasured, and always with Paula by his side. Of course, Brian was the favorite uncle to many nieces and nephews, plus other kids, all of whom he was very proud. Brian encouraged them as if they were his own children.
As was made obvious by the last game of family Uno, Brian’s love of life, joy, and mischievousness will continue in the future adventures of those that loved him. Brian J. Callerame lived boldly, laughed freely, and loved wholeheartedly. We will remember him by the door, beckoning to leave for the next adventure with loving urgency, “Come on, let’s go!”
