Kenneth was affectionately known to all as Kennie, and he quickly let anyone know that calling him Ken was not an option. Kennie was the second child and the oldest son. The Harrison Family moved to Los Angeles, living there for 8 years before returning to Oakland. Kennie began his education at Compton Avenue Elementary School in Los Angeles, CA. and continued his education in Oakland where he attended Brookfield Elementary School, Elmhurst Jr. High School, graduating from Fremont High School in 1969 then attending Merritt College for one year.
In 1972, he met the love of his life, Brenda Harrison(Jackson). They wed in 1976 and went on to have three beautiful children: daughter, Toni Harrison of Los Angeles, CA, daughter Kiana Harrison-Chaires of San Lorenzo, CA and son Kenneth Harrison, II of Hayward,CA.
