Lorena Ignacia Ford

Lorena was known to many by her affectionate nickname, “Lollipop,” a reflection of her sweet spirit and kind heart. She earned an associate degree in psychology from College of Alameda and a certificate in paralegal studies from Merritt College in Oakland, achievements that reflected her curiosity about people and her desire to help others.

Lorena worked at a cupcake shop, where she brought warmth, smiles, and care to everyone she encountered. Lorena was a devoted Christian who loved God and lived her life with faith, kindness, and compassion. Her belief guided her heart and actions, and she found comfort and strength in her relationship with the Lord.

She will be remembered for her gentle nature, her love for family, and the joy she brought into everyday moments, big and small. Her sweet nature, dedication to those she loved and her commitment to our Lord and savior left a lasting impression on everyone who knew her.

Lorena is survived by her loving parents, Mary and Melvin Ford; her four sisters Sophia, Angelina, Jewell and Ramona; and her cherished nieces; Angela, Tiana, Gia, Kira, Reagan, Anna Lea, Amika, Sade and nephews; Jason, Jordan and William all of whom held a special place in her heart.

Lorena’s memory will live on through the love she gave and the lives she touched. Though she is no longer with us, we find peace in knowing that Lorena is now at rest in the loving arms of her Savior.

A visitation will be held at C. P. Bannon Mortuary, located at 6800 International Blvd, Oakland, CA 94621, on February 10, 2026, from 12:00 pm to 4:00 pm.

A Celebration of Life will take place at the same venue on February 11, 2026, starting at 10:00 am.

The burial will be conducted at Mountain View Cemetery, located at 5000 Piedmont Ave, Oakland, CA 94611, on February 11, 2026, at 1:00 pm.
