Shatae Javon Deckard

Shatae accepted Christ at an early age at Heaven Rock Missionary Baptist Church in Oakland, CA.

Tae received her early education at Golden Gate Elementary, Carter Middle School, and Oakland Technical High School.

Tae's daughter, Sage, was the treasure that illuminated her path. Her driving force, and her everlasting inspiration. Through every initiative and every program, Sage was always in her heart, influencing every positive change she sought to make in the world. The endless love between them was evident, providing Sage not only with memories of a mother whose love knew no bounds but also a community, a village, that will forever stand beside her.

Shatae Javon Deckard, age 45, of Emeryville, California passed away on Tuesday, September 19, 2023.
