Alexander Felix Osowiecki III

Alexander was born in Bristol, Connecticut to Alexander Osowiecki Jr. and Helen Dubyoski Osowiecki of Terryville, Connecticut on June 29, 1942. Alexander graduated from Oliver Wolcott Trade School in Torrington, Connecticut in 1962 as an Auto Mechanic.

Alexander worked for New Departure-Hyatt in Bristol when he went into the state run Millwright apprentice program for 7 years, partnered with General Motors, where he graduated as a Certified Millwright. When the plant moved to Ohio, Alexander opened and ran his own garage and used car lot with his mother and brothers called Osowiecki Automotive on Main Street in Terryville, Connecticut for several years.

Upon moving to Linneus, Maine, Al owned another automotive business there, substituting his income as a school bus driver. Again moving his family to Easton, Maine he was employed as a Foreman at McCain Foods. No longer needed when the plant started up, Al opened another garage in Presque Isle, Maine for several years.

Al enjoyed being a youth advisor for the C.Y.O. at his church in Fort Fairfield, Maine.

Moving back to Connecticut, Alexander joined the Local 210 Connecticut Carpenters Union, traveling the New England states till he retired to Florida.

Alexander was a 3rd Degree member of the Knights of Columbus, Holy Family Council 11784 in Williston, Florida.

Alexander is survived by his wife of 60 years, Patricia Piotrowski Osowiecki. His son Alexander IV and his wife Tracey Barnett Osowiecki, of Ocala; granddaughter Monica and husband Jose Merced, of Williston. His Great grand children, James S. and Morelia L. Merced of Williston. 2 brothers, Chette and wife Brigette of Torrington, Connecticut. John Osowiecki of Terryville, Connecticut. Sister Marylou Wilk, of Bristol, Connecticut, along with several nephews and nieces.

Alexander was preceded in death by his baby daughter, Patricia Helen; his son James Michael; and his brother Henry M, Osowiecki of Maryland.

Burial will be at a later date in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Terryville, Connecticut.
