Betty M Bass, of Ocala, died Sep 14, 2015. She was a loving wife, mother and homemaker, an avid fan of the Florida Gators and NASCAR and she enjoyed hunting and fishing with her husband and family. She was married for 45 years to Joe Farris Bass who passed away two years to the day before Betty. She is also the longest living member of her family, all of whom died in their 50’s.
Betty was predeceased by her husband, Joe; her parents, Jake and Marie Courtney; her brother, Junior Courtney and both sisters, Joyce and Lois.
She is survived by her son, Randall Parker; 2 stepchildren , Dana Sowell and James Bass; and four grandchildren, Corey, Justin, Autumn and Christopher.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 19, 2015 from 9am to 10am at Forest Lawn Funeral Home. A funeral service will follow visitation at 10am. Interment will be at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.
