Ocala-Betty A Thornton, 77, passed away on December 3, 2014 in Ocala. She moved to Brooksville, FL in 1991 from Bellville, OH and then moved to Ocala in March of this year. Betty had worked at the ARC Nature Coast. She was a member of TOPS Brooksville and Ocala. She loved baking, water aerobics, trying her luck in Biloxi and spending time with her grandchildren. Betty was preceded in death by her first husband, Lewis Parsons, son Bart Parsons, and son-in-law Chuck Barclay. She is survived by her husband of 29 ½ years, Daniel I Thornton, daughters, Jill Barclay and Lori Crill and husband David, a sister June Sergent, grandchildren, Jacqui Barclay, Courtney Barclay, Meghan Mader and husband Josh, and Cpl Josh Crill USMC and many nieces, nephews and friends. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, December 9, 2014, 11 am at Forest Lawn Funeral Home, 5740 S Pine Ave, Ocala, FL 34480.
