

Carmen was a devoted mother, grandmother, and faithful servant of the Lord. A talented seamstress by trade, she was known not only for her skilled hands, but for her generous heart. Carmen showed her love through service—feeding everyone who came through her door, caring for family and community, and lovingly helping raise many children as if they were her own. Her home was a place of warmth, faith, and unconditional love.
She is survived by her children: Jose Antonio Rivera, Carmen Lydia Bermudez, Nestor Luis Rivera, and Angel Luis Serrano.
Her legacy lives on through her grandchildren.
Grandchildren of her first son, Jose Antonio Rivera: Blanca Rivera, Jose Antonio Rivera (Little Tony), Nilsa Rivera, Brenda Rivera, Luis Rivera (Chino), Josue Rivera, and Juan Herman Rivera (Bobby).
Grandchildren of her daughter, Carmen Lydia Bermudez: Denise Olivera Medina, Diane Olavarria, Desiree Bermudez, and Eliezer Bermudez.
Grandchildren of her second son, Nestor Luis Rivera: Maria Carrida Rivera, Erica Rivera, Amanda Rivera, Stephanie Marie Rivera, Angelica Rivera, Sandra Rivera, and Nestor Isaac Rivera.
Grandchildren of her youngest son, Angel Luis Serrano: Isabella Serrano, Alexandra Serrano, Jada Serrano, AJ Serrano, and Brooklyn Serrano.
She is also lovingly survived by 35 great-grandchildren and 14 great-great-grandchildren, all of whom carry forward her legacy of love, faith, and family.
Carmen Iris Serrano will be remembered for her unwavering faith, her selfless heart, and the countless lives she touched. Her love and devotion will live on through generations.
The Committal Service will take place at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens, 5740 South Pine Ave, Ste A, Ocala, FL 34480, on February 4, 2026, from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm.
