

Carol Jean Pacheco of Ocala, Florida passed away on August 15, 2024, at the age of 79. Carol was born on September 6, 1944, in Washington D.C. to the late William Kieffer and Virginia Ruth (Beckner) Emswiler.
After graduating high school, Carol pursued higher education and worked at the General Services Administration in Washington, D.C. She relocated to Ocala in 1972, where she dedicated 30 years as a secretary for the Marion County Zoning Department.
Deeply devoted to her faith, Carol was an active member of the First Baptist Church of Ocala and the Good News Club, which shared the Gospel with schoolchildren. She had a love for travel, often embarking on adventures with her beloved husband. The Smokey Mountains and Washington D.C. were two of her favorite places to visit. Carol will also be remembered for her deep love of animals.
She leaves behind her cherished husband of 36 years, Oscar J. Pacheco, along with her daughters, Kristie Obrecht and Dawn Barker (Dale), as well as Debbie Pacheco, Richard Pacheco, and Phillip Pacheco (Chynna). Her brother, Larry Emswiler, also survives her. Carol also leaves behind four grandchildren and one great granddaughter.
A celebration of Carol's life will be held on Friday, August 23, 2024, at 10:00 AM at the First Baptist Church of Ocala Fellowship Hall in Ocala, Florida. Her final resting place will be at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens. She will be interred on Tuesday, September 10, 2024 at 10:00 AM.
