

Daisy Ann Pinkston Vachon Alexander, age 91, of Ocala, Florida, passed away on January 15, 2026. Born in DeKalb, Illinois, she was a daughter of the late Florus Ansel and Maude Knight Pinkston. Daisy was also predeceased by her former husband Paul Hubert Vachon, son James Matthew Vachon, son-in-law Henry Dwight Lawhorn, brothers Dale Pinkston and Daniel Ansel Pinkston, and sisters Estella Rose Lee and Phyllis Jean Raymond.
Daisy is survived by her sons, Paul E. Vachon (Lucy), Michael Vachon (Trina), Brian Vachon (Aimee), Charles Vachon (Anissa), Charles Alexander; and daughters, Rita Fields (Bill), Mary Durbin (Jim), Deborah McCune (Donald), Penny Cook (Phillip), Kathy Acree (Garry), Theresa Grant (Brad); a brother, Wesley Allen Pinkston; 26 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, 4 great-great grandchildren with two on the way, and additionally, several nieces and nephews.
Throughout her life, Daisy worked in various occupations, ending with USPS service, until her retirement. She loved music, dancing, singing, yodeling, playing the organ, as well as sewing, crocheting, and doing jigsaw puzzles.
