
Donald Joseph Burns, age 82, of Silver Springs, Florida, passed away Wednesday, April 5, 2017. He was born January 10, 1935 in Bronx, New York to Mary Teetsel and Joseph Burns. He married Edna Ashe in 1958 in New Jersey. He remarried October 8, 1998 to Diane Kleinschmidt Burns in Woodstock, Illinois, who survives. He worked in the tool industry and worked up to manager of various companies. Donald is also survived by the following children:
Loretta Burns (Landall Gordon), Richard Burns, Arnold Burns, Kimberly Smart, Jennifer Burns; step-sons, Eric Broman (Margaret), Mark Broman (Aileen) and Jeremy Broman. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
Donald enjoyed traveling and exploring new things; building models, doing puzzles, reading all kinds of topics and collecting Civil War memorabilia. And, he enjoyed gourmet cooking and built his 50 plus spice cabinet. Anyone who needed spice knew he had it. One of his accomplishments was being the lead production manager for the Crain Communication building (diamond shape) in the One Mag Mile area of Chicago, Illinois and he also did one other building in Chicago, too. He was a man with many interests and talents and never, never gave up with all of his life challenges. Each life is unique.
