

Henry Steinbach,87, of Morriston, FL went to be with the Lord on March 6, 2013. He was born on April 28, 1925 to William and Marie (de Bruyn) Steinbach.He was preceded in death by wife Norma Jean and sons Paul Henry Steinbach and Mark Kevin Steinbach. Mr. Steinbach served in the Army during WWII . He was in the 7th Calvary Division and received many medals for his splendid work in the Leyte Island Campaign, among them two purple hearts, the silver star and the bronze star. He truly loved his country. Mr, Steinbach was also retired from the NYC Police Department. He will be remembered by those who knew and loved him as a man who could fix anything, he loved to work. He leaves behind to cherish his memory two daughters Elizabeth McCarthy of Ocala, FL and Laura Cauthen (Vincent) of Angier, NC one sister Marie Nilsen of Virginia Beach VA and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
A Memorial service has been scheduled for Friday March 22, 2013 at Forest Lawn Funeral Home at 11:00am with a graveside inurnment at 12:00pm in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens, with military honors. In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations to Haven Hospice Levy County. Forest Lawn Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
