

It is with sad hearts that we announce the passing of James F. Nenno (Jim) of Belleview, Florida, on February 19, 2026. He passed away peacefully at Highpoint at Stonecrest Memory Care Facility in Summerfield, Florida at the age of 89.
Jim, the son of Elna and Louis Nenno, was born in Olean, NY on July 27, 1936. He graduated from Bradford High School in 1954 and received a degree from American University. As a young man, Jim was recruited by the Federal Bureau of Investigation and moved to Washington, D.C. where he met and married the love of his life, Hilda Baker. Jim and Hilda cherished their beautiful life together for almost 70 years.
Jim had a distinguished career as a Metropolitan Police Officer in Washington, D.C. for 24 years. He was a Member of the Association of Retired Police Officers and volunteered his time to the Tropicana Village Men’s Club where he lived. His passions were golf, bowling and the Redskins. He and Hilda enjoyed square dancing for over 40 years and loved to travel.
Jim was preceded in death by his son, Joseph and sister, Marcia. He is survived by his wife, children, Ron (Brenda), Kevin (Marie), Todd (Jackie), grandchildren, Chris, Jeremy (Angela), Justin, Nick (Amanda), Kate (Jimmy), Matthew (Alyssa), Jessica (Nick), Jared (Kaily), 10 great grandchildren and brother Michael (Martha).
