Jim was a veteran of the United States Air Force, serving for 9 years. He retired from Aberdeen Proving Ground after 20+ years of service as an ammunition specialist.
Jim enjoyed playing golf and sang in the “Brothers in Christ” gospel quartet as their Bass. He was Baptist by faith.
He is preceded in death by his siblings, Betty Given and Bud Parsons.
Jim is survived by his children, Venetia L. (Steve) French, Doris J. (Daryl) Lessard, James S. “Jimmy” (Debbie Beers) Parsons, Jr.; sister, Jean (John) Schoolik; two grandchildren, ten great grandchildren and one great great granddaughter.
