

Norma D. Montague, age 90, of Ocala Florida, passed away on Tuesday October 3, 2023 at Ocala Health and Rehabilitation Center. Norma was born in Silver City, Panama on July 28, 1933 to the late David P. and Victoria Viola (Bell) DeSuze.
Norma worked as a Licensed Practical Nurse working in hospitals and providing Private Duty in the New York City area. Norma met her late husband, William (Bill) H. Montague in Brooklyn through a mutual friend. They were married for 43 years. She also assisted her late husband, William (Bill) H. Montague with his cleaning business. Norma enjoyed growing her plants, vegetables, taking care of her flowers and sewing.
Norma's greatest joy was being a servant of Jehovah. Norma was baptized on August 1, 1973 at Yankee Stadium as one of Jehovah Witnesses. Norma became a Regular Pioneer, August 1, 1975; serving as a Regular Pioneer for 48 years. Norma aided many with getting to know Jehovah.
Norma is preceded in death by her husband, William (Bill) H. Montague; two step-daughters, Mary Lane and Marva Pena; two sisters, Ruth Roach Warren and Margie Bell.
Survivors include her son, Gregorio E. Vernon; eight grandchildren, Khalilah Tanksley, Kameela (Naimah) Pena, Shareetha Pena, Donovan Jackson, Tyler Lane, Jason L. Morrison, Saul Q. Vernon, and GioVanna N. Vernon and 15 Great-Grandchildren.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, October 14, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses - Shady Oaks Congregation, 3660 Southwest 7th Place, Ocala, FL 34474.
