Norman Dean Atchison, 78, passed away in The Villages on Wednesday, July 30, 2014. He was born in Lawrence County IN, and moved to The Villages 17 years ago after retiring from the FAA. Norman was an Air Traffic Controller at the Indianapolis Tower and Airport Manager at Muncie and Terre Haute Airports. He was an US Air Force Veteran of the Korean Conflict. Norman also worked for the Small Business Development Center at UF where he was a Senior Certified Business Analyst. He is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Cheryle Atchison, his children, David Atchison (Amy) and Wanda Atchison , a sister, Marylee Siefers, 9 grandchildren, 1 great-grandchild and many nieces, nephews and friends. A celebration of Norman’s life will be held at Forest Lawn Funeral Home 5740 S. Pine Ave, Ocala, FL 34480 on Saturday, August 16, 2014 at 11:00 am.
