Paul Stephen Potts

Paul was the owner of Potts Pest Control of Florida since 2019. He was a member of Souls Harbor First Pentecostal Church, Belleview, Florida.

He had a passion for entomology which launched him into business. He also enjoyed designing and building home projects. He had a love for classic and luxury cars attending several venues with his family. He passed time listening to music such as classic band, jazz, instrumental, ballads, Christian, and childhood songs from the 60's to the 80's. He even displayed some tailoring skills, sewing and mending things for his wife and children over the years. He found enjoyment and relaxation by attending family walks teaching his wife and children about nature. His greatest love was to instill in his family a love for God, discussing the word of God, teaching them to pray and showing them how to lead others to God.

He enjoyed hunting, ornamental welding where he received military certification, baking, cooking and grilling. He was also very artistic; sketching and doodling as he spent time with family. Another passion of Paul’s was self-improvement through reading the Bible, Bible study, self-improvement, business and educational books. Paul was also known for journaling and had different journals for each topic.

Paul is preceded in death by his father, James L. Potts, Sr.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 23 years, Amanda (Bates) Potts; four children, Dakotah (Stephanie) Potts, Madison Potts, Muriel Potts and Alivia Potts; mother, Jodi Brabeau; brothers, James (Christin) Potts, Jr. and Gary Brabeau; grandson, Nolan Potts and another grandson on the way; nephews and niece, Tyler, Lauren and Hayden Kleine and Jack and Colby Shannon.

A funeral service for Paul will be held Saturday, July 15, 2023 at 11:00 AM at Souls Harbor First Pentecostal Church, 12650 Southeast County Highway 484, Belleview, Florida 34420. Following the funeral service will be a committal service at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens, 5740 South Pine Avenue, Ocala, Florida 34480.
