Rita Margaret Herreid, 96, passed away March 22, 2016 in Ocala, Florida. She was born and lived in Yonkers, New York until she moved to Florida 14 years ago. She was an avid reader and enjoyed a game of poker and a good joke. She had a quick wit and good sense of humor. She loved to help and care for others.
Rita was predeceased by her son, Ronnie, and daughter, Beverly.
She is survived by her daughter, Eileen Tillery; grandchildren, Lynn Anne, Ronald, Eric, Jerry and David and great-grandchildren, Larissa, Lauren, Anton, Jacob, Joe, Mac, Nessa and James.
Visitation will be held from 4 - 6 p.m. on Monday, March 28th at Forest Lawn Funeral Home in Ocala, Florida. A viewing followed by a funeral Mass will be on Tuesday, March 29, 2016 starting at 10:30 a.m. at Our Lady of the Springs Catholic Church in Ocala, Florida. Burial will take place in Yonkers, New York.
