I will never forget meeting Jackie and Sam ( your parents).  I remember the time the time we all went to the Golden Corral.  Best time ever

I'm so sad to read this.  I had no idea. Sam and my husband were very close. We had a lot of fun back in the day with Sam and Jackie. I hope he and Doug are talking building construction and making more memories in heaven.  We will always remember Sam.  ❤️

Our most heartfelt condolences to the family and friends of Sam.  In the many years that I have known him, he was always happy, with a ready joke, and was a positive and jovial influence on all those around him.  You could always count on him and Jackie to help no matter what was needed.  He was kind, friendly, generous, professional, and dedicated.  His personality and humor will be greatly missed.

His family, and his influence on them, is his greatest legacy.  May all the wonderful memories he created help his family find solace in this time of great loss.

Our condolences go out to the loving family and friends of Sam Gerace.  Sam's infectious smile and laughter would always brighten the day and the love he and Jackie shared was so joyful and wonderful to watch. As a consummate professional, Sam always had a way of grounding an important technical code discussion and keeping it light-hearted and real, especially for young code professionals in the '90s. We will never forget the countless jokes, pranks, and all-around good fun we had at Chapter meetings and BOAF conferences. He was at his best with family and friends and he made us all better friends and family members.  We will miss our beloved Sam!

Your Dad was such a sweet, gentle soul with a little devil in him.  He had such a happy, positive disposition who always made you smile.   I remember how he and your Mom would enjoy martinis.  They were such a beautiful, loving couple who are now back together!  We love and miss them both.  Thanks for all the fun times!!  XO



I am sorry for your loss.  I worked with Sam at a small city a number of years ago. He was such an encouragement and support me.  He will be greatly missed. 

I have so many different and wonderful memories.  We come from a great loving family.   I will never forget your dad at Christmas time, we were at Aunt Pats, first Christmas without grandfather.  Poor grandma she was just sitting there  and your dad got the great grandkids singing and it was that song , All i want for Christmas is my two front teeth, omg he has us in tears.  Then I remember him being with Nay and i at the hosp when mom had her valve surgery.  Even in the state mom was in your dad not only had her laughing but the staff as well.  We had such great times, that it would take hours to speak of them all.  I love you all so much and i know how hard  this is and how much he will be missed, but you have this amazing family... Sam was also survived by 7 grandchildren, Joey, Sammy, Andrew, Kayleigh, Meagan, Alyson and Marissa; 3 step-grandchildren, Lauren, Brandon and Hunter; and eight great grandchildren.


His wife, Jacqueline; parents, Joseph and Mary Gerace; brothers, Neil and Joe Gerace; and sisters, Anne Lowe and Marie Carroll preceded him in death.
