Barry Miller

After receiving his PhD from the University of Chicago, he worked as a physicist at Bell Laboratories for 36 years. Upon retirement he volunteered at Monmouth County Parks and Recreation as a senior hike leader. Mr. Miller was a long time member of Monmouth Reform Temple. He was a lifetime learner with a variety of hobbies and interests.

Mr. Miller is survived by his wife of 55 years, Barbara Miller, of Middletown, three children: Michael Miller and his wife Deborah, of Ridgefield, CT, David Miller and his fiancé Julie Tell, of Berkeley, CA, and Susanne Robson and her husband Joseph, of Belfast, ME, a brother Lowell Miller and his wife Sally Gordon, of Santa Barbara, CA, a sister Jacqueline Senteney and her husband Kenneth, of Salt Lake City, UT, five grandchildren: Benjamin and Jennifer Miller, Benjamin, Drew, and Adam Robson, and his cousin and best friend, Stuart Golin.

A funeral service will be held at 10am on Wednesday, October 28th, 2015, at Monmouth Reform Temple, Tinton Falls. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Monmouth Reform Temple or to the Monmouth County Friends of the Parks. Bloomfield Cooper Jewish Chapels, Ocean are in charge of arrangements.
