I am so sorry about your Mom, my beautiful Aunt Celia. My mom passed in January 2005. I am so lonely. My 3 kids still live with me. Dearest Madeline, Elaine, Owen, and Grandchildren, So sorry to hear about Ceil's passing...she was so special. My mother loved her. They were real buddies and now they will be together again...they're probably at a beautiful casino in the sky having fun so don't worry...thinking of you all fondly,  Suzy, Phyllis's daughter

Having visited Max's many times over the years (dating back to the boardwalk store), it is sad to learn of Mrs. Maybaum's passing. It signifies the ending on an era when times were simpler and  life was good. May Mrs. Maybaum rest in peace knowing that she was part of that better time.  In reflecting, visiting Max's resulted in good food and entertainment , the latter, in later years).  Mrs. Max always kept her employees in line giving orders from her seat in the cashier's booth.  I'll continue to patronize Max's in Mrs. Max's memory.

So sorry for your loss.  She was a colorful,  extraordinary person. She will be missed by all.  We remember her fondly.
