Edwin Goldberg

Edwin M. Goldberg, 84 years of Ocean Township, N.J. died on Wednesday May 4, 2016 at Millenium Memory Care in Ocean Township. Born in Philadelphia, PA. July 20, 1931. He was predeceased by his parents Mildred and David Goldberg.Surviving are his significant other and love of his life Jeannette Cornblatt of Ocean, his daughter and son-in-law Marci and Mike Bernicker of Jackson, a granddaughter Nicole of Brookline MA., his son and daughter-in-law Alan and Trish Goldberg of Zephyrhills, FL., a step daughter Wendy Young of Hainesport, N.J., her daughter Coty Nickerson of Mt. Laurel, N.J., a step son Larry Cornblatt and his daughter Mia of Wolcott, VT., his brother and sister-in-law Mary and Irwin Goldberg of San Antonio, TX., and his niece and nephew Alexa and Cameron Goldberg and several cousins. Mr. Goldberg was a graduate of Temple University with a B.A. in Physics and obtained a M.S. in engineering from MIT, he did additional grad work in Math, Physics, and Electrical Engineering from Temple University, the University of Pennsylvania and Northeastern University. He was a member of the Sigma XI Honor Society, and received a MIT fellowship selected by a national competition. He was an Operations Research Analyst at Fort Monmouth for 30 years. He had numerous publication, letters of commendation and awards for publication.

Services will be held at Bloomfield-Cooper Jewish Chapels, 2130 Highway 35, Ocean Township, N.J. on Friday at 1:00PM. Interment will follow at Temple Beth El Cemetery, Neptune, N.J. In lieu of flowers contributions to Alzheimer’s association of N.J. would be appreciated.
