Gary Schwartz

Gary Paul Schwartz passed away peacefully on Monday, October 31, 2016. Born in Paterson, N.J., Gary lived in Elizabeth, Holmdel, and Ocean Township before moving back to Holmdel in 2011. He was an owner and partner at Auto Parts and Equipment, in Newark, N.J. After retiring from the business he was a volunteer for several years for Holiday Express, a Monmouth County N.J. charity. His greatest enjoyments in life were spending time with family and friends, his volunteer work, and traveling, especially to Italy.

Gary is survived by his son Michael and daughter-in-law Tina, son Matthew and daughter-in-law Patricia, and son Jeffrey; his grandchildren, Alyssa, Kate , and Jacob, and several great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his wife Flora, who died in 2009, and his parents Arthur and Sadie.

Funeral services will be held graveside at Mount Lebanon Cemetery in Iselin, N.J. at 1:00 P.M on Wednesday, November 2, 2016. Shiva will be observed Wednesday and Thursday after 4 P.M. at the Schwartz residence in Oceanport. Bloomfield-Cooper Jewish Chapels are in charge of the arrangements.
